Ruggedly built with aluminum cooling

The ST8 is built tough with all aluminum surroundings to protect the enclosed drives, but when in operation, cools the system faster! Moreover, the system is equipped with 2 large quiet fans for continuous drawing away heat from the inside of the system for you drive to run comfortably.

Integrated SATA Port Multiplication

The ST8-S2P model (see spec.) integrates 2 sets of SATA port multiplier connecting up to 4 drives each with one single SATA cable to see and work each drives independently, effectively reducing messy and inconvenient cabling. Two cables are all that’s required!

Available in eSATA or mini-SAS

The ST8 Series is available in eSATA version or mini-SAS for the best output in performance. The SAS version is capable of accepting either SAS or SATA hard drives for the most cost effective and flexible storage system to own.

Secure with confidence, remove with ease

Equipped with removable hard drive trays, installing or removing a drive would be absolutely hassle-free. There are no extra wires to attach, simply insert the drive to the designated slot and go! Each drive tray is also equipped with a locking mechanism to secure the drive into place to keep the drives and data safe.

Optional four port 3G SATA compliant 8 lane PCI-e host adapter

For the best throughput performance, users can connect the ST8-S2P to the STARDOM SJ20-x8 SATA host adapter for a stunning average throughput performance of 400MB/sec. with RAID 0 implementation, supporting two units of ST8-S2P per host adapter.

A performance driven system

The SOHOTANK ST8 is performance driven for professional creative workflow. Using high speed 3G eSATA connectivity, the ST8 is capable of putting out an average throughput of 112.5 MB/sec. per single drive data transfer, 400 MB/sec. per eight drive data transfer under RAID 0 (8 lane host bus or RAID controller required).
